Interested in developing a deeper relationship with God through learning and Small Groups?

SMALL GROUPS = BIG FAITH!

New Hope MBC offers small group studies and ministries to connect you with the Father, the Truth, the Community, and a Spiritual Mentor.

Connection With The Father

We want to help you start to pray about growth areas that you are working on and ask for God’s guidance.

Connection With The Truth

We want you to have a biblical understanding of each growth area either directly from Scripture or from biblically-based resources.

Connection With A Community

We want you to be involved! Our community will encourage, nurture, and expect growth in the area they are focusing on.

Connection With A Mentor

We want you to connect with someone who can explain, model and encourage growth. You may find that for some growth areas, another mentor can offer a different insight or experience. You can have more than one mentor, based on your areas of growth.

Are you interested in Connecting, Loving, Learning, and Growing with New Hope MBC?

Christians go through a process to find God and follow Jesus. New Hope offers Pathways that lead people on a journey to learn God’s Word. Whether you’re just curious about the Christian faith, a new believer or have a strong foundation, New Hope is committed to maintaining settings where the word of God is clearly explained, accurately applied and people get connected.

What’s Next?

Pinpoint where you are spiritually

From the devout believer of another faith, to the oblivious-to-God pleasure seeker, to the pew warmer at the local church, to the believer who’s seeking to develop a deeper understanding, to the disciple who’s teaching others, everyone is somewhere on this path. Pinpoint where you are spiritually, and what stage is next for you. Jesus’ goal, of course, is clear: be a Disciple-Maker. Matthew 28:18-20 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Identify Your Stage

STAGES is a disciple-making pathway developed by Paul Johnson of the Canadian National Baptist Convention that allows anyone to find where they are on their journey so they can move forward in their faith walk. STAGES has built-in assessments and goals to track where you are and how you are growing in faith. Every person we encounter can be found somewhere on this path:

Curious

Hungry For Jesus

“I’m curious enough about Jesus to investigate his life & teachings. I have a lot of questions like: How can I know it’s real? How can I experience God myself? What would a relationship with God do for me? I also have questions about specific Christian beliefs. I’ll look at the Bible but I’d also like other proof that Jesus was really God.”

Believer

Being Fed By Others

“I believe all the claims of the Gospel but I don’t know how to put it all together yet. I don’t feel very comfortable praying or reading the Bible on my own because I don’t know what to do or where to start. I feel like I am totally dependent on others for my growth.”

Disciple

Feeding Self

“I can feel God working in my life more and more. I’m learning to hear his voice and am trying to obey Him. I know following Jesus means lining my life up with Jesus’ teachings and commands like being baptized. I’m willing to do that. I’m starting to see my sin more clearly. I ask God to forgive and change me regularly now. I’m spending time on my own in prayer, Bible study and serving others. God has put a desire in me to help others connect with Him like I have. But I’m nervous about this. So nervous in fact, sometimes I don’t say or do the things God asks because I don’t think I’m ready.”

Disciple Maker

Feeding Others

“I’m being fed, feeding self, and feeding others. I’ve started discipling someone. I’m putting fear aside and obeying God even when I’m nervous. I know God will help when he asks me to do something. I’m getting skilled in how to help others journey through the STAGES. Now I look for ways to disciple people and pray for opportunities to do so, especially with people around me. I’m far from perfect, but I’m dealing with my sin when I see it. I encourage others to do the same. My appreciation for God’s grace is growing, as is my burden for people who live without it.”

Servant Leadership

Leadership is influence… to influence God’s people toward God’s kingdom purposes we must learn the way of Jesus.  He has much to say to us about servant leadership.

Hope Groups

HOPE is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith. These sessions help us to walk the Pathway in deeper connection with God and others. These sessions are hosted for EVERYBODY in our community!  We have diversity in location (virtual, on campus, in coffee shops, in homes, etc. DUE TO COVID only virtual class/meeting options are available) and leadership (Youth, Young Adult, Senior, Professional, and Clergy).  They are all designed to support our learning (Head), our connection (Heart), and our service (Hand).

L.I.F.E. Groups

LIFE groups are ongoing ministry sessions that consist of Bible Studies, Ministry Studies, Prayer Groups, Relationship Seminars, Book Studies, and more. It is our vision that we do “L.I.F.E.” together, healing hurts, meeting needs. We offer different groups so that you can find a group that best meets the needs of you and your family.
